KUKRI SHEATH

Unusual blades require unusual sheathes. This kukri machete's design is based on a traditional Nepalese knife
with a forward-curved blade used for chopping. I primarily bought it because I thought it would be interesting to make
a sheath for.

In order to accommodate its unconventional shape, this sheath has an open top along more than half the length of
the spine to allow the blade to be drawn. The sheath itself is made of 5 to 7 oz. veg-tanned tooling leather, dyed
mahogany, with brown hand stitching and antiqued brass hardware.

A button stud closure for the strap provides secure retention as well as silent opening and the solid brass
ring on the back acts as an attachment point for a belt loop (not pictured).

The following photos better show off the sheath's mahogany colour.
