THE "GLOBETROTTER" SLIM TRAVEL HANDBAG

This handbag is designed for traveling light. I was asked to make it formal enough to go well with evening wear, yet also light, compact and malleable enough to be
packed in a suitcase. I went with a thin, supple black leather and used braided nylon rope for the shoulder straps to save on weight. They're attached to leather fittings which are
both sewn and tacked on with silver rivets for extra strength. The overall dimensions are roughly 10" by 7".

Here is version two of the same slim handbag, this time in brown and with the shoulder strap fittings replaced with antique-brass grommets for superior strength and simpler design.
